Albayzin Carmens

The Carmens are private houses that have a private garden inside the high walls. In keeping with Moorish custom the outside of the house is very plain but behind the walls may be very palatial. These are very expensive houses and most likely passed down through generations of a family. Some had gates that we could peak through to see their gardens.
