June 11 train to Madrid

Early this morning we left Granada to take the train to Madrid. This was our final train trip. Although we travelled first class it was a regional train and was comfortable but not as good as the AVE trains. The trip was 4.5 hours & half way along we were switch on to the high speed continuous rail and the head end was connected to electricity so we really picked up speed. The weather has improved and is much warmer. At 2:00 pm we arrived at hotel Europa. This is the picture from our balcony looking out to Puerta del Sol.
