June 14, Good bye Spain & Hello Portugal

We had a great time in Spain. It's a very clean city, every day they hose down the side walks (probably because of the dog poop) people are friendly, the train & metro systems are easy to navigate and the food is great. We felt very safe, in the big cities the police are everywhere and are friendly. All my planning paid off but figuring out how to get around everyday is lot of work and of course getting lost is part of the experience, most of the time it's fun. We arrived in Portugal at 2:00pm, our flight was detailed one hour. We were met by a Viking rep and within 15 minutes we were in our BMW chauffeured car. For the next week I don't have to make any more travel decisions, my most difficult decisions will be, what to eat, what to wear & will i go on the tour today. We arrived at hotel Tivoli the weather was 25 degrees with a light breeze. The hotel had a beautiful outdoor pool, complete with pool boys/girls.  That's where we went to relax for a couple of hours. Brenda & Don you won't be disappointed. Tamera you would love this!
