Poncio Tapas

We had a long late lunch or early dinner (by Canadian standards) at Poncio's located at Ximenez de  Enciso, 33 - 41004.  This is a new restaurant that will be recommended by Rick Steve's in his 2014 book.  We had a few tapas, 1) squid, wild asparagus, spring onion and spinach with basil & garlic mayonnaise 2) rice noodles with garlic shoots & pawns; 3) gratin of provolone, baked aubergines & tomato with oregano; 4) cauliflower pure, chicken with paprika & Parmesan 5) duck ravioli with mushrooms, raisins & pine nuts ........ Yummy!!

Food Tip- a local told me never order paella unless a restaurant takes 2-3 hours to prepare the paella. A good restaurant will take your paella order in the morning, and have it ready at a specified time, so that's when you return to the restaurant for your paella!!
