June 9 -Alhambra, Granada

Today we are off to the Alhambra, the last & great Moorish palace highlighting the 13th & 14th centuries. The Koran is written all over the walls. Muslims did not allow any pictures on the walls, but poetry and religious sayings are written everywhere on the walls. The outside is always very simple so as not to attract attention, but once inside the palace is opulenent.
